On Dec.6th , China Logistics Group Co., Ltd. (China Logistics Group) was founded under the approval of SASAC. With integrated logistics business ranking top on the main business list, it’s a milestone in the development history of logistics industry, opening new ground for building a world-class integrated logistics group company.
State Councilor Wang Yong attended the unveiling ceremony. Hao Peng, Party Secretary of the CPC Committee, SASAC, and Chairman of SASAC, participated in the ceremony and delivered a speech.
Weng Jieming, Member of the CPC Committee, SASAC, and Vice Chairman of SASAC, presided over and read official approval of SASAC.
Liu Shaoyong, Chairman of China Eastern Airline, Zhu Bixin, Chairman of China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd, and Li Hongfeng, Chairman of China Logistics Group Co., Ltd, have delivered speech respectively.
Heads from central government institutions, Logistics Support Institution of the Central Military Commission, Beijing Municipal Government, relevant Central-state Owned enterprises, financial institutions, higher learning educational institutions and associations, also took part in the ceremony.
The newly-founded China Logistics stems from the integration of five companies: one is the former China Railway Materials Group Co., Ltd., and the other four from logistics industry under China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd: China Materials Storage&Transportation Group Co., Ltd., CTS International Logistics Corporation Ltd.,China Logistics Co., Ltd and China Packaging LLC.
At the same time, it has introduced in three strategic institutional investors: China Eastern Airline, China COSCO Shipping Corporation Ltd. and China Merchants Group.
The ownership structures is: 38.9% for SASAC and the same for China Chengtong Holdings Group Ltd., and 10%、7.3%、4.9% for the other three strategic institutional investors respectively. Hence, China Logistics is a comprehensive SOE group of logistics industry with diversified equities under direct supervision and management of SASAC.
Its footprints cover 30 domestic provinces (cities and districts) and five continents. It has 24 million square meters of land areas, 4.9 million square meters of warehouses, 3.6 million square meters of stockyards, 120 designated railway lines, 42 warehouses for future goods delivery, integrating nearly 3 million vehicles for cargo transportation.
The international trains run across Eurasia Continent, bringing strong competitiveness in international logistics market.
During the 14th Five Year Plan Period and even longer time, China Logistics positions itself as the Provider of Integrated Logistics Service, and the organizer of Global Supply-chain. It shoulders the responsibility of Promoting modern circulation, safeguarding national stability and people’s livelihood.
